Abstract

ZK-Provenance is a decentralized document verification and attestation protocol built on Solana. It combines Zero-Knowledge cryptography (Groth16/BN254), a community-driven verification network, and the $ZKPV utility token to create a trustless, privacy-preserving alternative to traditional notarization and KYC systems.

The protocol enables any individual or organization to prove the authenticity of a document without revealing its contents — verified by a decentralized network of staked verifiers and anchored permanently on-chain.

01 — The Problem

Trust is Broken.

1.1 The Digital Verification Crisis

The world generates over 120 zettabytes of data annually. Yet verifying the authenticity of any document — a diploma, a contract, an ID, an audit report — still relies on physical notarization, centralized KYC providers, or email attachments with zero tamper-proof guarantees.

1.2 The Privacy Paradox

Current verification systems force a fundamental tradeoff:

Share data → Get verified ✅ Privacy violated ❌ Hide data → Privacy kept ✅ Unverifiable ❌ A US hospital must share patient records to prove HIPAA compliance. A EU company must expose user data to prove GDPR adherence. A job applicant must share full salary history to verify income. This is not a technical limitation — it is a design failure.

1.3 Market Scale

02 — The Solution

ZK-Provenance Protocol

2.1 Three-Layer Architecture

ZK-Provenance introduces a three-layer verification stack — each layer adding a distinct dimension of trust:

3
$ZKPV Token Economy

Incentive alignment — rewards honest verifiers, slashes bad actors

INCENTIVES
2
Community Verifier Network

Human + AI verification — 3-of-3 consensus, staked reputation

03 — Technical Architecture

3.2 Poseidon Hash Function

ZK-Provenance uses Poseidon-128 — a ZK-friendly hash function designed for arithmetic circuits. Unlike SHA-256, Poseidon has minimal constraints in R1CS representation:

H = Poseidon(data, nonce) mod p p = 21888242871839275222246405745257275088548364400416034343698204186575808495617 // BN254 prime field — 254 bits of security

3.3 Groth16 Circuit

// What the circuit proves: template ProvenanceCircuit() { // Private inputs (NEVER revealed) signal input data; // Original document signal input nonce; // Random blinding factor signal input merkle_path[8]; // Public inputs (verifier sees ONLY these) signal input commitment; // Poseidon hash signal input merkle_root; // Tree root signal input policy_hash; // Compliance policy // Constraints commitment === Poseidon(data, nonce); merkle_root === MerkleVerify(commitment, ...); policy_hash === Poseidon(policy_id); }

04 — Verification Network

Two-Layer Trust

4.1 Layer A — Automated API Verification

DigioIndia, SEAAadhaar, PAN, GST

4.2 Layer B — Community Verifier Network

For documents APIs cannot verify (contracts, research papers, audit reports), the Community Verifier Network provides human + AI verification:

Verifier Requirements: → Stake minimum 10,000 $ZKPV tokens → Pass verification competency test → Maintain >95% accuracy score Verification Process: 1. Document submitted 2. Assigned to 3 random verifiers 3. Each reviews independently 4. 2/3 consensus required 5. Verifiers earn $ZKPV rewards 6. Wrong verification → 10% stake slashed
05 — Use Cases

Who Needs This

5.1DeFi Undercollateralized Lending

⚠ DeFi loans require 150%+ collateral. Real-world creditworthiness cannot be proven on-chain.

✓ Borrower proves wallet holds >$50K for 6+ months, no liquidations — without revealing wallet address. Protocol offers undercollateralized loans based on ZK proof.

5.2Cross-Border Employment Verification

⚠ Hiring across borders requires sharing sensitive credentials with multiple parties globally.

✓ Candidate proves degree, years of experience, salary range — employer verifies instantly without accessing actual documents.

5.3Supply Chain ESG Compliance

⚠ Companies must prove ethical sourcing but cannot reveal supplier identities (competitive advantage).

✓ Manufacturer proves fair-trade certification, emissions below threshold — without exposing supplier list.

5.4Healthcare Research Data Sharing

⚠ Medical researchers need large datasets but HIPAA/GDPR restrict sharing. $45B market blocked.

✓ Hospital proves dataset properties (size, demographics) — researcher accesses proof without any PII.

5.5Regulatory Audit Automation

⚠ Financial institutions spend $270B annually on compliance. Audits are manual and expose confidential data.

✓ Institution proves AML checks, KYC completion to regulator — on-chain in minutes, no transaction data exposed.

06 — Token Economics

$ZKPV Token

6.1 Overview

Launch PlatformPump.fun
Launch Model100% Fair Launch

6.2 Fair Launch Model

100%
Fair Launch via Pump.fun Bonding Curve
No pre-mine. No VC allocation. No insider advantage. Bonding Curve: 100% of supply (1,000,000,000 tokens) Everyone buys at same price on Pump.fun Team Tokens: Purchased from open market (same price as community) Locked via Streamflow — 12mo cliff + 24mo linear vest Publicly verifiable on-chain Graduation: ~$69K bonding curve → Auto-listed on Raydium LP tokens burned permanently

6.3 Token Utility

🔒
Verifier Staking
Stake 10,000 $ZKPV to join the verification network. Earn rewards per verified document. Slashed for incorrect verification.
Protocol Access
Hold 1,000 $ZKPV → Unlimited proofs (Pro tier). Hold 100,000 $ZKPV → API access + SLA (Enterprise).
🗳
Governance
1 $ZKPV = 1 vote. Vote on compliance frameworks, verifier parameters, treasury allocation, protocol upgrades.
🔥
Fee Burning
50% of all protocol fees burned. Deflationary pressure increases as attestation volume grows.

6.4 Token Launch Process

Step 1: Deploy $ZKPV on Pump.fun → 100% bonding curve, no presale, no whitelist Step 2: Community buys on bonding curve → Price discovery happens naturally Step 3: Graduation to Raydium DEX → ~$69K bonding curve completion → Automatic Raydium liquidity pool → LP tokens burned (permanent liquidity) Step 4: Team buys from open market → Same price as community → Streamflow lock applied immediately → Transaction publicly verifiable

10 — Risk Factors

Honest Assessment

Technical Risk

Groth16 requires trusted setup ceremony. Mitigated by public Powers of Tau (Hermez). Formal circuit verification planned Q3 2026. Post-quantum migration path via STARKs.

Market Risk

Enterprise sales cycles are long (6-18 months). Mitigation: target crypto-native companies first for faster adoption cycles. Community verifiers provide organic growth.

Regulatory Risk

ZK proofs not yet legally recognized in most jurisdictions. Positioned as supplementary evidence layer, not primary legal instrument. Monitoring EU eIDAS 2.0 framework.

Token Risk

$ZKPV price volatility may affect verifier incentives. USD-denominated reward floors during early network phase. Fair launch model reduces centralization risk.

11 — Conclusion

The Trust Layer

ZK-Provenance is building the trust layer for the internet — a protocol where anything can be verified without anything being revealed.

The combination of Groth16 ZK proofs (mathematical certainty), Community Verification Network (human trust), and $ZKPV token economy (aligned incentives) creates a system more secure, more private, and more accessible than any existing verification solution.
